37th Street

Seattle, WA

In the Leschi neighborhood on a difficult site, this home has Limestone floors with IPE hardwood flooring.

Logistically, this project was a very difficult site with narrow streets, no storage space, no parking and just a tight fitting lot in the Leschi neighborhood. Using a unique tie back system, we were able to keep most of the existing foundation, benefitting the client in keeping cost down. Stucco and Parklex siding carry the open feel from the exterior in, complementing the design of the floor to ceiling glass interior. Metal stairways provide natural light between floors. Two 14 foot in wall sliding doors make the outdoor deck space and interior feel like one. Limestone and rich IPE flooring add contrast to the brightly lit rooms. A water feature brings the finishing touch to give this masterpiece a refreshing, oasis welcome to this residence.
